The LUX1310 sensor is available in standard black-and-white. The double-rate cameras are nearly 100% faster than standard GigE cameras and require only a single data cable (no link aggregation). Until now, CMOS high&#8211;speed cameras have been implemented as compact camera heads with internal image storage or as remote camera heads with a CameraLink Full interface and image capture cards featuring large image storage. For applications in motion analysis (bionics, sports medicine, biomechanics) and for the analysis of process malfunctions (tool breakage, malfunctions in handling systems, malfunctions in packaging machines), frame rates are required that are now increasingly covered by fast standard CMOS cameras used in industrial image processing. Due to transmission distances and the resulting flexibility, industrial cameras with a standard GigE interface are preferred; for recording systems that are twice as fast, cameras with a GigE interface and link aggregation are used in conjunction with recording systems.        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-htmlarea-file-table=\"sys_file\" data-htmlarea-file-uid=\"455\" height=\"340\" src=\"fileadmin\/web\/images\/img\/dr1_compare.jpg\" width=\"550\" style=\"\">  Comparison of Transmission Rates for Various Interfaces in Industrial Image Processing For the application areas described, Photonfocus has developed Double-Rate (DR) camera technology, which is based entirely on the standard implementation of the GigE interface and the standard software protocols GenICam and GigEVision, but provides nearly twice the bandwidth. This allows standard industrial image processing tools and libraries to be used for implementing high-speed image acquisition systems. Multi-camera systems can be easily set up, since the GigE standard is not deviated from\u2014unlike with point-to-point link aggregation. This avoids the disadvantages of systems based on cameras with link aggregation from the outset. Photonfocus clearly demonstrates its pioneering position in high-speed transmission systems. Double-Rate (DR) camera technology is 25% faster than conventional CameraLink Base cameras and a full 100% faster than standard GigE cameras. Another advantage of the modulation technology used is the format-preserving storage of image data. The storage requirements for image sequences are nearly halved, which, combined with format-preserving storage, enables fast searches within the sequences.
