6.1 General Information

When you use our website, cookies are stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and are associated with the browser you are using, allowing the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us) to receive certain information. Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your computer.
We use so-called technically necessary cookies on our website. Technically necessary cookies are cookies that are required for our website to function properly. They help make our website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.
If you do not want information to be collected through the use of cookies, please select the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that you may not be able to use all of the website’s interactive features and functions if technically necessary cookies are blocked or deleted.
If you consent, technically non-essential cookies are also used in connection with the use of Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Maps, and Google Ads. For more information on this, please see sections 7, 8, 9, and 10.

6.2 More Information About the Cookies Used on This Website

6.4 Services Provided by the Third-Party Provider Google

If we use services provided by the third-party provider Google, the legal basis for the use of these services may include, in addition to your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1), first sentence, lit. a of the GDPR, a legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR may also apply. Further information on this can be found in the sections below.
Information from the third-party provider: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001.
The Terms of Use are available at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html, the privacy overview at: https://policies.google.com/?hl=de&gl=de, and the Privacy Policy at: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. There you will also find further information about your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy.

7. Google Analytics

If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics to regularly analyze and improve our website. The statistics we collect allow us to improve our offerings and make them more interesting for you as a user.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. The recipient of the collected data is Google. However, if IP anonymization is enabled on the website, your IP address will be truncated by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity.
The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by preventing the storage of cookies through the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. As an alternative to the browser add-on—particularly for browsers on mobile devices—you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to our website, and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again. To prevent data collection by Google Analytics across different devices, you must opt out on all devices.
We use Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIp()” extension. This truncates IP addresses during processing, thereby preventing any personal identification.

8. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google Inc. for displaying advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies as well as web beacons (invisible images that allow Google to analyze clicks on this website, traffic to the site, and similar information). Our goal is to make our website more interesting to you by displaying ads that may be of interest to you. The information collected via cookies and web beacons is transmitted to a Google server located in the United States and analyzed there. We have no influence over the data collected, nor are we aware of the full scope of data collection or the duration of storage. It is possible that Google may share this data with its contractual partners, third parties, or government authorities if required by law or if Google outsources data processing to third parties.
The legal basis for the use of Google AdSense may be, in addition to your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The following options are available to prevent the installation of Google AdSense cookies: 1.) by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; in particular, disabling third-party cookies will prevent you from receiving ads from third-party providers; 2.) by disabling interest-based ads on Google via the link http://www.google.de/ads/preferences; note that this setting will be reset if you clear your cookies; 3.) by disabling interest-based ads from providers participating in the “About Ads” self-regulatory campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices; note that this setting will be reset if you clear your cookies; 4.) by permanently disabling this feature in your browser via the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

9. Google Maps

We use Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on our website and enables you to conveniently use the map feature.
When you visit our website, Google receives information indicating that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website. In addition, the data listed in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether you are logged in to a Google user account or do not have a user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish for your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before clicking the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research, and/or to tailor its website to your needs. Such analysis is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to deliver personalized advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
The legal basis for the use of Google Maps, provided you have previously consented, is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google.
The terms of use for Google Maps can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/help/terms_maps/.

10. Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords)

As part of our use of Google Ads, we utilize Google Ads Conversion (see Section 10.1) and Google Ads Remarketing (see Section 10.2).

10.1 Google Ads Conversion

We use Google Ads Conversion to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertisements (known as Google Ads). Based on the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Our goal is to show you ads that are relevant to your interests, make our website more engaging for you, and ensure a fair calculation of advertising costs.
These ads are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers.” To do this, we use ad server cookies or pixels embedded in our website, which allow us to measure certain performance metrics, such as ad impressions or user clicks. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The following data is typically stored for this cookie as analytics metrics: the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), and opt-out information (indicating that the user no longer wishes to be targeted) are typically stored
These cookies or pixels enable Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits specific pages on an Ads customer’s website, Google and the customer (us) can determine that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Ads customers.
We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in connection with the aforementioned advertising measures. We receive only statistical reports from Google. Based on these reports, we can determine which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of these advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify users based on this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s server. We have no influence over the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you to the best of our knowledge: Through the integration of Ads Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on one of our ads.
If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate your visit with your Google account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, it is possible that Google may obtain and store your IP address.
The legal basis for the use of Google Ads Conversion is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
Furthermore, we refer you to the options listed in the third paragraph of Section 8 of this Privacy Policy to prevent Google from storing the relevant cookies on your computer:
. The Terms of Service for Google Ads can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

10.2 Google Ads Remarketing

We use the remarketing feature within the Google Ads service. The remarketing feature allows us to show users of our website ads tailored to their interests on other websites within the Google Display Network (in Google Search, on YouTube—so-called “Google Ads”—or on other websites). To do this, we analyze users’ interactions on our website—for example, which offers the user has shown interest in—so that we can display targeted ads to users on other sites even after they have visited our website. To do this, Google stores cookies on the devices of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google Display Network. These cookies are used to track these users’ visits. The cookies are used to uniquely identify a web browser on a specific device and not to identify an individual.
The legal basis for the use of Google Ads Remarketing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
Furthermore, we refer you to the options described in the third paragraph of Section 8 of this Privacy Policy to prevent Google from storing the relevant cookies on your computer.
The Terms of Service for Google Ads can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

By clicking the “Download” button, you consent to us contacting you in the future to send you product information, as well as for promotional purposes. After clicking the “Download” button, you will receive a confirmation email from us to verify the email address you provided. If you do not reply to our confirmation email, we will delete your contact information within 30 days at the latest.

However, for technical reasons, you may still receive a few more emails in the short term.

12. Routine Deletion and Blocking of Personal Data
