Home Sports Ball Trajectory Analysis

Tracking ball and player movements and analyzing them digitally

High-speed cameras form the basis for analyzing player movements and ball trajectories; they record every movement and, depending on the application, analyzethe data directly on board. With their high-resolution CMOS image sensors, Photonfocus high-speed cameras are ideally suited for analyzing ball trajectories, game sequences, and tactics. They truly demonstrate their strengths even when multiple cameras are used and data must be available in the shortest possible time.

Photonfocus has developed its own Quad-Rate (QR) and Double-Rate (DR) technologies, which enable large amounts of image data to be transferred to a central computer in a very short time. They achieve four times the speed of other cameras, and these technologies allow distances of up to 100 meters to be bridged using just a single cable. Photonfocus develops and manufactures modular, application-specific sensors and all-in-one solutions for a wide range of applications.
